W końcu będzie możliwość ustawiania własnych skrótów klawiszowych na stronie about:keyboard.

Ciekawe czy każdy klawisz będzie można uwolnić np. F5 nie odświeży karty, a F6 nie będzie aktywował paska, gdy przypiszę go w ustawieniach dodatków do czegoś.

Na razie nie można użyć F5 w ustawieniach dodatków, ale prawdopodobnie niedługo będzie to możliwe.

W sumie przydałaby się lepsza detekcja F6 (zachodzi aktywacja paska i funkcja z dodatku) i F10 (aktywuje się pasek menu i opcja przypisana do dodatku jest zlewana), jako zablokowanych przez przeglądarkę, a w przyszłości na "about:keyboard".

In bug 2020017, we plan to start testing the SkPDF back-end on Nightly builds for print-to-pdf output.

This will allow us to eventually get rid of mozcairo (which is the current back-end). Note that GTK3 might still use system Cairo in some cases. More importantly, this also unblocks improvements on generating more accessible PDFs (bug 1657973).

Ideally this doesn't have any user-visible behavior change, but it might need some tuning. In our limited testing, the size of the generated PDFs seems reasonable, and the print quality is good, but of course there are tons of documents you can print out there...

This is behind the pref `print.experimental.skpdf` (and soon `print.skpdf.image-encoding-quality` for jpeg encoding quality). Please file bugs on either print quality, PDF file size, or missing functionality against bug 1372506.

Od następnej wersji chcą dołączyć wbudowanego VPN-a, tak jak w Operze. 50 GB miesięcznie na użytkownika (ale nie dla nas). Póki co tylko w US, UK, DE i FR. No ale u mnie działa.

Czyli jakby wskrzeszenie: https://github.com/mozilla-extensions/secure-proxy (https://github.com/mozilla/secure-proxy), tam obejściem było raz użyć inny dobry VPN z północnoamerykańską lokalizacją, ale od którejś wersji niby dołatali i sprawdzali już na bieżąco.

New tools to get more done

Smart Window, previously called AI Window, uses AI to give quick help while you browse — like quick definitions, article summaries, product comparisons and more — without leaving the page. It’s completely optional to use and will be opt in. Waitlist now open for updates and early access.

Split view puts two webpages side by side in one window, making it easy to compare, copy and multitask without bouncing between tabs. Rolling out in Firefox 149 on March 24.

Tab Notes let you add notes to any tab, another tool to help with multitasking and picking up where you left off. Available in Firefox Labs 149 starting March 24.

Firefox is also getting a fresh new look across our website, product and beyond. This includes updated themes, icons, and visual refinements across Firefox, including our toolbars, menus, and the homepage. It also brings usability improvements that make key features easier to access. The changes reflect user feedback and aim to modernize the browser while reinforcing a more distinctly Firefox look and feel. We appreciate the community feedback on the designs.
